What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are injectables used to restore volume, smooth lines, and refine contours for a more youthful, balanced look. Most are made with hyaluronic acid (HA)—a molecule your skin naturally uses to stay hydrated and plump.
What can fillers treat?
At Bloom Aesthetics & Wellness, Sheila K. Rohe, CRNP, FNP-C, may recommend fillers to help you:
Restore lip volume and shape
Soften fine lines and wrinkles
Smooth folds around the nose and mouth
Improve under-eye hollows/tear troughs (when appropriate)
Rebuild midface or temple volume
Rejuvenate aging hands
If you’re noticing volume loss in the face or hands, fillers can be tailored to your features and goals.
What to expect
After a focused consultation and mapping, we may apply topical numbing for comfort. Filler is placed precisely to achieve natural-looking improvement you can see right away. Mild swelling or bruising can occur and typically settles quickly. Results are temporary; longevity varies by product and area; usually lasting 9 moths to 2 years. We’ll discuss a maintenance plan during your visit.
Combining treatments
For best results, fillers are often paired with neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau, or Daxxify) to relax dynamic lines while fillers address volume and contour. We can also layer in noninvasive skin treatments (peels, facials, skincare) for tone and texture.
Aftercare matters
Good skincare, sun protection, and follow-up as recommended help extend your results. We’ll give you simple do’s and don’ts before you leave.
